About Us
Koppa Targets LLC is a small business in Oakland, California. All our products are designed, painted, assembled, and shipped in the US, with some components coming from overseas. We have been supplying targets for over 10 years now, and are proud of our customer service and ability to respond to customer needs very quickly. Although we don't want you to wait until the weekend before a big scan to order, we have frequently been able to help a company out in an emergency situation.
Once you've done some scanning, you quickly realize one thing - you can get much cleaner and more accurate results with easier registration more quickly and easily with target spheres. And if you have a few spheres already, you've probably figured out that you'd do a lot better with more of them.
What defines a good target sphere? We think it's simple - keep it round, with a durable flat white surface that's easy to maintain. Make attaching it to objects in the environment really fast and simple - we normally use a 2" magnetic base. Make it easy to handle - we have a 2" neck on every sphere to hold onto, and every sphere comes shipped in a simple cotton drawstring bag to help keep them clean whether your job takes you from the oilfields and mines, to a downtown office building, or to a major accident. Finally, we try to make them almost unbreakable, because we definitely know, accidents happen. But if they do, we make single targets or individual parts easily available, and offer support when users run into problems. We ship them in simple, durable, and very practical industrial crates. Finally, we offer a range of inexpensive accessories that allow you to easily use them in the workflow that makes the most sense for you.
So that's what we do. We don't write software, we don't design hardware. We just paint and assemble plastic balls, offer them at a good price, and figure out interesting ways to put them in the field so you can get the best scan data possible. We hope you'll try them and find that out for yourself.
